The Opportunity

As the People & Culture Officer at TripADeal, you will be central to our workplace, delivering comprehensive HR administration and operational support across the entire employee lifecycle. As a champion of our vibrant team culture, you will bring our events calendar to life, optimise our workspaces, and lead inspiring culture-building initiatives. Beyond this, your work will directly impact daily operations by driving an exceptional onboarding experience that wows new starters, maintaining our HRIS as a secure source of truth, and providing reliable first-level HR advice.Through efficient service delivery and a commitment to continuous process improvement, you will empower the P&C team to succeed, all motivated by the shared goal of making our customers’ travel dreams come true, together.

Organisational Structure

In this role, you will experience the perfect balance of autonomy and collaborative support within a highly aligned team; working under the guidance and mentorship of the People & Culture Business Partner. Additionally, you will work closely with the wider People & Culture team to ensure seamless service delivery across TripADeal. As a key point of contact for the business, you will use a proactive, service-focused approach to engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring our workspaces are optimal and our company culture is actively supported.

This is a permanent, full-time position based 100% onsite at our Byron Bay headquarters or Gold Coast office in Varsity Lakes, working from the Byron Bay office minimum 2 days a week. Enjoy a standard Monday-to-Friday work week with your choice of flexible hours: 8-4pm or 9-5pm - you choose!

A Day in the Life

A varied role that includes, but is not limited to:

  • You will action the HR inbox, respond to general queries, and update the HRIS to ensure complete data accuracy and full alignment with payroll requirements.
  • You will lead the onboarding process from offer to first day, welcome new starters by running the first-day induction program, conducting office tours, and preparing welcome gift bags to ensure an exceptional onboarding experience.
  • You will embed allocated vendor contracts, budgets, and venue logistics to coordinate our monthly Town Hall and bring a 12-month staff events calendar to life.
  • You will seamlessly draft employment variations, prepare for security background checks, issue service milestone recognition along with other recognition programs, and keep our monthly newsletter highly engaging.
  • You will take a proactive, service-focused approach to maintaining breakout areas, managing grocery and uniform stock levels, and liaising with suppliers for office maintenance requests.

To be a Front Running Candidate

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Exemplary attention to detail with an organised, self-directed working style that allows you to manage tight, conflicting deadlines.
  • High proficiency with G-Suite, Apple Mac, and tools like Canva, with preferred hands-on experience using systems like Employment Hero, Workday, and Scout Talent.
  • Demonstrated capability in handling end-to-end event management.
  • A warm, pragmatic, and approachable style with the confidence to build strong relationships, deliver first-level HR advice, and manage the expectations of others.
  • Current driver’s licence and car to commute between our Byron Bay and Gold Coast locations.
  • A high level of timeliness and reliability in managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Qantas background check.
