Are you a visionary marketing leader ready to architect the future of travel? TripADeal is looking for a Head of Marketing to lead our strategic roadmap, ignite commercial growth, and inspire a world-class team of creatives and media specialists. We are looking for a data-led, seasoned leader with a deep analytical approach to problem-solving and a passion for pioneering new marketing technologies. You will be the primary architect of our marketing strategy, ensuring every campaign is a masterpiece of both creativity and commercial ROI. This isn’t just about managing a brand; it’s about engineering high-level strategies that exceed revenue targets and delight hundreds of thousands of travellers.

Organisational Structure

This permanent, full-time leadership position is 100% onsite working from our Byron Bay Headquarters or Varsity Lakes Gold Coast office (minimum 1-day per fortnight in HQ), working Monday to Friday, 8-4pm or 9-5pm - you choose!

Reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer (CCO), you will be a senior leader within the business, interfacing closely with the Leadership Team. You’ll oversee a sophisticated and high-performing team of 20 team members managing two core pillars: a Brand and Operations division and an Integrated Marketing & Performance arm - operating much like an internal agency.

A Day in the Life

As the Head of Marketing, you will bridge the gap between big picture vision and data-driven execution. You’ll oversee our internal creative engine and media distribution channels to ensure a seamless, high-performance customer journey.

Key areas of impact:

  • Lead, mentor, and upskill specialised functions, including the Head of Brand & Marketing Operations and the Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing. Guide the team through new ways of working and bring them along on a journey of high-growth and efficiency.
  • Strategic Architecture: Own the annual marketing roadmap, orchestrating brand and media strategies to drive awareness and, crucially, increase customer consideration and conversion.
  • Commercial Growth: Take full responsibility for the marketing budget and drive key KPIs, including Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), customer reach, and generating demand for our website and call centre.
  • Leadership & Culture: Act as a mentor and people person, guiding the team through new ways of working and bringing them along on a journey of high-growth and efficiency.
  • Partnership Synergy: Leverage partner data and audience reach (including the Qantas Group ecosystem) to drive incremental commercial value.
  • Innovation: Drive a culture of continuous improvement, utilising our internal analyst and MMM (Mutinex) tools to tweak and optimise the end-to-end customer journey.

Join a collaborative environment where excellence is rewarded and operational mastery drives every decision.

To be a Front Running Candidate

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in marketing, media, and digital, with a proven track record in senior leadership, preferably within a scale-up environment.
  • Experience as a Client Service Director or managing internal creative teams is highly valued, as you will be overseeing our internal agency model.
  • Extensive experience managing large budgets and delivering high-yield revenue targets.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a verified ability to influence at the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, or a related commercial discipline.
  • Background in retail or travel (or a strong brand with a retail mix) is essential; experience in B2C is a must.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Qantas background check
