The Opportunity
As the People & Culture Business Partner, you'll help shape and strengthen our workplace culture, drive employee engagement, and support strategic business goals. This role will act as a key contact for the business, dealing with day-to-day and operational matters.
In this role, you'll contribute to the ongoing development of our People & Culture foundations and lead initiatives across employee relations and broader People & Culture programs that reflect our values and support our brand and growth goals.
Organisational Structure
This role will report to our Head of People & Culture, working in the passionate and dedicated People & Culture team. This new, permanent full-time position is 100% onsite working primarily from our Varsity Lakes office, with a presence at other locations, including Byron Bay HeadQuarters and/or Brisbane, as required. You'll work Monday to Friday, 8-4pm or 9-5pm - you choose!
A Day in the Life
- Deliver and enhance People & Culture initiatives such as engagement surveys, performance reviews, remuneration cycles, and onboarding
- Provide training and support to managers, ensuring consistency and quality across key people processes
- Champion the development of relevant, fit-for-purpose processes and procedures to assist managers in people management
- Act as a trusted advisor by partnering with managers and collaborating with leaders on development and succession plans
- Identify and manage People & Culture risks and compliance issues
- Facilitate the fortnightly payroll processing for TripADeal
- Play a key part in broader People & Culture team responsibilities as called upon. This includes assisting and supporting with recruitment, events and office management
- Guide managers through disciplinary, grievance, and change processes, ensuring all actions align with legislation and internal policies
- Manage one direct report
To be a Front Running Candidate
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration or similar
- A minimum of 7 plus years experience operating as a People & Culture Business Partner or equivalent, with exposure to recruitment
- Proven human resource experience ideally in a scale up environment, with exposure to corporate organisations
- Provide a high level of professionalism and competence in all human resources and employment relations processes
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian employment legislation and National Employment Standards
- Preferred experience with systems including Workday, Employment Hero & applicant tracking systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong attention to detail
- A warm, approachable, pragmatic and supportive style, with confidence to liaise with all levels of the organisation
- Comfortable with ambiguity and having difficult conversations with others
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Qantas background check
- A full valid drivers license
