The Opportunity
As our Content Lead, you will be the driving force behind our brand's voice. You'll lead our talented Content Team to create and execute a results-driven strategy, producing engaging stories and compelling copy that turn travel dreams into reality. Collaborating across the business, you will ensure TripADeal's content is truly best-in-class.
Organisational Structure
This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Byron Bay HQ, with the possibility to work from our Varsity Lakes office as required. The role is 100% onsite, Monday to Friday, with your choice of 8 am–4 pm or 9 am–5 pm.
A Day in the Life
- Drive the Content Workflow: You'll manage all incoming briefs for the Content team, assigning tasks, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring you have all the details to manage timelines effectively.
- Define Our Voice: Lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of our official Deal & Ad Copy Style Guide, making it the source of truth for all brand copy.
- Provide Strategic Direction: Guide all copy projects with a strategic mindset, from concept to completion, to ensure they meet key business objectives and achieve success.
- Analyse & Optimise: Dive into the performance of our content—from website deals to print ads—to identify what's working, celebrate successes, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Lead & Create: Spearhead the end-to-end content creation process, personally crafting copy for major campaigns and brand projects while overseeing everything from communications to project initiatives.
- Uphold Quality & Consistency: Act as the guardian of our brand voice, reviewing and editing all content to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and brand alignment.
- Mentor & Develop: Guide and support the Content Team's performance, providing constructive feedback and hands-on help to ensure everyone succeeds and deadlines are met.
To be a Front Running Candidate
- A degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 4+ years of experience in content creation, with a strong portfolio of published work across digital platforms.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience leading, mentoring, and developing a team of copywriters.
- Proven expertise in organic social media, with at least 3 years of hands-on copywriting and strategy experience.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
- Advanced knowledge of major social media platforms and direct experience using social media management tools (e.g., Social Studio).
- Proficiency in using Google Analytics to measure content performance and generate insights.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) or equivalent digital media editing tools.
- Outstanding communication and time management skills, with a proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Direct experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, particularly Social Studio.
