The Opportunity

As the leader of our design team, you will be the creative force shaping how we inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. This pivotal role involves conceptualising and executing marketing and sales campaigns that bring TripADeal’s mission—making travel dreams come true—to life. A key responsibility will be to lead and mentor our talented designers, fostering their professional growth and driving the collective success of the team.

Organisational Structure

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Byron Bay HQ, with the possibility to work from our Varsity Lakes office as required. The role is 100% onsite, Monday to Friday, with your choice of 8 am–4 pm or 9 am–5 pm.

A Day in the Life

  • Champion our brand's visual identity across all marketing channels, creating compelling assets for digital, print, web, and social platforms that captivate our audience.
  • Maintain and evolve the TripADeal brand guidelines in collaboration with the Creative & Content Manager, ensuring our visual language remains fresh, relevant, and consistently applied.
  • Translate complex business objectives and stakeholder needs into elegant and effective design solutions, moving beyond pure aesthetics to solve core challenges.
  • Leverage your expert knowledge of design software to optimise creative workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver pixel-perfect, high-quality output every time.
  • Manage and curate our digital asset libraries, liaising with external partners to ensure all creative resources are current, compelling, and readily accessible to the team.

To be a Front Running Candidate

  • A minimum of 8 years of full-time experience in a studio, agency or in-house environment, consistently producing high-quality print, video, animation and digital collateral.
  • A minimum of 3 years of managing a team of Design creatives
  • A tertiary qualification in graphic design, visual communication, or a related discipline.
  • Team leadership/mentoring/coaching skills
  • Exceptional client service and stakeholder management skills (internal and external)
  • Drives change in order to deliver continuous improvement to the business including ROI and cost savings
  • Good understanding of the creative and digital industry, the latest trends, best practice and how to best to implement this across all platforms and channels
  • Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite with the ability to produce creative across a wide range of mediums including: print, digital, web, video, animation
  • Expert knowledge in all stages of print production including pre-press knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Figma with experience designing for Desktop & Mobile
  • Relevant experience working with corporate brands and an understanding of internal communication strategies within a large and complex corporate environment.
  • Experience shooting photos and video with the ability to take them all the way through post
