The Opportunity

As the Accounts Officer you will assist with the management and processing of customer refunds to ensure a positive customer experience as well as actively participating in process improvement projects for the customer refund process.

Organisational Structure

This role will be based primarily from our HQ in Byron Bay with ability to commute to other TripADeal sites on an as needed basis. The position offers flexible working hours between 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm - you choose! As an on-site business, an in-office presence is required in this role to foster connection, collaboration, and results.

A Day in the Life

  • Maintain and participate in the administration and reconciliation of the customer refund process
  • Actively correspond with merchants, following up on refunds, credits etc to enable timely customer refunds
  • Prepare and maintain bank and cash reconciliations business wide
  • Administration and reconciliation of TripADeal credit cards including the virtual credit card facility
  • Assist the finance team in ensuring timely cash receipts and payments to our customers and suppliers

You will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting or related Finance discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • 2+ years experience in a high volume accounts receivable role
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Mature with a sense of ownership and ability to adapt to change.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
