The Opportunity

As the Finance Assistant you will assist with the management of our supplier accounts via performing booking reconciliations and supporting the payments process to ensure the smooth operation of customer travel.

Organisational Structure

This role will be working from our Byron Bay HeadQuarters, working Monday to Friday, 8-4pm or 9-5pm - you choose! For Gold Coast based candidates, there is flexibility to work 1-2 days per week from our Varsity Lakes Office, with the remaining days spent in our Byron Bay HQ.

A Day in the Life

  • Support the accounts payable process, including reconciliation of supplier invoices and data entry into the financial management system.
  • Work with the Accounts Lead to ensure timely cash receipts and payments to our suppliers.
  • Manage the accounts inbox.
  • Reconcile virtual credit cards used in the booking process.
  • Assist with the management of the offshore finance team, providing guidance, training, and support where required.
  • Provide additional support to the Finance team as needed.

To be a Front Running Candidate

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, or a related Finance discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience in an AP/AR function.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
  • Strong team player with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
