The Opportunity

To join our TripADeal team to help bring our exciting travel deals to life. Product Analysts review our travel deals for accuracy and market competitiveness.  This role will be responsible for building and maintaining new and existing travel product deal pages using our backend system, Salesforce. In addition, they are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the deals so that they are accurately communicated to our customers, enabling them to purchase with confidence, and fulfil their travel dreams!

A Day in the Life

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise with the relevant Business Development Management (BDM) team to build new deals in the CRM - Salesforce
  • Analyse new travel product to ensure it fulfils quality control requirements
  • Liaise with the relevant Product team members to adjust new travel product as required
  • Review deal margin calculations and appropriateness 
  • Review deal competitiveness support prior to launch date
  • Follow due process to communicate product information to relevant business departments
  • Manage each product throughout its lifecycle including key dates and minimum numbers, and any changes to pricing and inventory

Organisational Structure

Reporting to the Team Leader for Product Analysts, this role is a 12-month, full-time, fixed-term position based in our Byron Bay office. This role is 100% onsite, working Monday to Friday, either 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM — your choice!

To be a front running candidate

  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Integrity, Business, Commerce, Accounting, Travel or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Strong attention to detail and critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Mature with a sense of ownership and ability to adapt to change
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Qantas background check

This position would suit (but is not limited to) an Accountant looking to escape month end reporting and tedious balance sheets. This is a fast paced, operational role where attention to detail, commercial acumen and analytical skills will see you succeed and prosper.
