The Opportunity

These 2 newly created positions at TripADeal will each take ownership of the successful delivery, development, and support of key operating systems and technical teams that are critical to TripADeal's business operations.

Managing a team of up to 5, taking care of a portfolio of systems, and working closely with other cross-functional teams, this role will take a hands-on approach and oversee the delivery of technology solutions, ensure seamless operations of systems, manage vendor relationships, and provide proactive hands-on technical leadership to support TripADeal's strategic goals and help to make travel dreams come true!

 

Organisational Structure

Reporting to the Head of Technology, this role can be based in our Byron Bay HQ or Varsity Lakes office 100% onsite, working Monday to Friday, 8-4pm or 9-5pm - you choose!

This role will directly manage up to 5 direct reports, with scope to build out the team as time goes on, and manage key vendor relationships, as well as work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve goals and objectives.

 

A Day in the Life

  • Manage the operational support of core critical business systems, including Salesforce, AWS (Connect, S3, Lambda, EC2), Google Workspace, and other platforms.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise solutions to enhance operational efficiency in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support security initiatives and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Work closely with other teams and external vendors to ensure seamless system functionality, integration, and efficiency.
  • Lead the delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain project roadmaps, milestones, and status updates, effectively communicating progress to stakeholders, including Senior Leadership Team.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, troubleshoot challenges, and implement scalable solutions that enhance system performance.
  • Manage technology solutioning, ensuring the right tools and methodologies are applied to meet business objectives.
  • Provide technology expertise in system integrations, ensuring smooth implementation with minimal disruption.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and service quality assurance.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions.

 

To Be a Front Running Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in technology delivery or IT leadership roles.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce, AWS, Google Suiteor similar enterprise software solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the delivery of technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing vendors and third-party service providers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with senior leadership or C-suite executives.
  • Experience in the travel industry, an ASX-listed company or large enterprise environment would be highly regarded.
