The Opportunity
Are you a Travel Consultant or Flights Consultant with experience creating international travel itineraries looking for a new behind-the-scenes role working with a dedicated team in Byron Bay? We'd love to hear from you!
Our team of Flights Consultants work closely together to ensure end-to-end flight operations are managed and both our first-time and returning customers are provided with a first-class experience.
The successful incumbent will hold experience in the travel sector, creating and issuing itineraries internationally, with a strong understanding of global geography and flights - ensuring our customers and internal staff have the best travel experience possible!
Organisational Structure
You'll report to our Flight Operations Manager, and work in a team that is dedicated to efficiently and effectively bringing the destination experience to life, seeing travel dreams come true.
This permanent full-time position is 100% onsite working from our Byron Bay Head Quarters, working Monday to Friday, 8-4pm or 9-5pm - you choose!
A Day in the Life
- Book and ticket international airline tickets on behalf of TripADeal for their all-inclusive package deals
- Facilitate customisation and applicable service requests on behalf of TripADeal
- Understanding and support of the business systems and platforms used to manage the ticketing process
- Conduct searches to find the best available airfares available for our valued customers, using the company GDS and other necessary systems.
- Perform the whole ticketing process requirements
- Communicate and liaise with relevant TripADeal stakeholders on bookings, deals, and issues that arise.
- Assist with resolving issues or escalated queries
- Follow through on initiatives that help to drive revenue for the business
- Support of post-booking management process
- Booking and issuing of interval staff travel requirements
To be a Front Running Candidate
- Tertiary qualifications in customer service, event management, tourism, business, administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience
- High level of experience using a GDS system (Sabre is highly regarded but not essential)
- Demonstrated experience using Google Sheets and/or Excel
- Sound working knowledge and expertise in international airlines, with the know how to navigate complicated international airfares
- Strong attention to detail & focus on accuracy
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate to a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to work towards multiple tight deadlines concurrently and to prioritise tasks with a sense of urgency
- Ability to forward think outcomes & be focused on the set outcome
- Work both autonomously & part of a team to achieve a common goal
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Qantas background check
