The Opportunity

The People & Culture Coordinator will execute end-to-end events; coordinate the office environment for TripADeal locations; and assist with administrative tasks in the People & Culture team that drive the employee lifecycle and other people-related initiatives. 

This position will champion our values and exercise initiative, care and attention in transactional activities related to all people services offered, maintaining our workspaces, drive team engagement, and lift morale. This role will often work autonomously and closely with various internal and external stakeholders to maintain the employee lifecycle, find new ways to keep our sites in order, and spirits lifted so the team can perform at their best and with motivation to make our customer travel dreams come true. 

Organisational Structure

You will report to our People & Culture Manager in this newly created role. This position is a full-time fixed-term contract position for 6 months that encompasses the role of a team member on maternity leave. You will work 100% onsite working from our Byron Bay HeadQuarters, and travel to our Gold Coast and Brisbane office from time to time. No remote working is permitted. The days and hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8-4pm or 9-5pm - you choose!

A Day in the Life

  • Event Coordination- Develop event concepts, themes and objectives; create promotional materials, timelines, schedules and locations with the People & Culture Manager, and ensure the smooth flow of activities during the events, overseeing set up, execution and breakdown 
  • Office Coordination- Develop the staff monthly newsletter, performing stationery and grocery orders; coordinate building maintenance; manage emails from suppliers/staff; and perform general office administrative support
  • Support with the onboarding of new starters as and when required. This may include; ensuring all new starter documentation has been returned, IT requests, preparing new starter packs, coordinating staff uniforms and stock levels, and delivering the induction program 
  • HR Administration- Ensure effective, efficient and timely administration in recruitment and onboarding, ensuring compliance with TripADeal and Quantas's policies and employment legislation e.g. producing offer letters and employment agreements, entering staff details into the HRIS, certifications vetting and preparing for ASIC background checks. 

To be a Front Running Candidate

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or sound understanding of best practice people and culture processes
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, with a background in events and office management
  • Confident and mature, and not afraid to manage the expectations of others (e.g. saying no)
  • Exemplary attention to detail, excellent systems and computer skills with G-Suite and tools like Canva
  • Collaborative style, with strong communication and time management skills 
  • Effective planner with the ability to coordinate and schedule a high level of support 
  • A focus on delivering quality outputs within tight and often conflicting deadlines- is flexible to delivering on stakeholder expectations
  • Passion for learning and growth mindset 
  • Current Driver's License and car- can work between TripADeal locations (Byron Bay, Gold Coast and Brisbane)
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Qantas background check
