The Opportunity

The Head of Digital is a senior marketing role that will oversee the digital marketing portfolio strategy, ensuring the TripADeal brand fully embraces digital engagement with our customers and evidence based decisions are made using data, analytics, and intuition, enabling TripADeal to deliver improved engagement with their customers while optimising online customer experiences, sales and profit.

This role will utilise various tools to support and develop the strategic direction across the entire digital media mix such as (and not limited to) paid search, paid social, digital video, email, notifications, mobile, web and App with the aim to build awareness, grow traffic/audiences and increase engagement. In addition, the role will work closely with the various departments on delivery of services across the full range of digital capabilities - campaign optimisation, selected web development, CRM, digital analytics and customer experience innovations.  

Organisational Structure

You'll report to our Chief Marketing Officer, and lead a team of up to 5. This permanent full-time position is 100% onsite working from our Byron Bay HeadQuarters, working Monday to Friday, 8-4pm or 9-5pm - you choose!

A Day in the Life

  • Improving customer experience across all channels (mobile, web, APP) and associated notifications in partnership with the Operations, Sales & Service and Executive team, while providing direction of digital marketing across multiple channels 
  • Supporting the UX/UI experience of customer facing assets to ensure strong conversion, that's always built with customer experience in mind
  • Driving new customer sales, retention and repeat business, while reducing the cost of sales, and setting KPIs that drive down the cost per acquisition and facilitate easily accessible methods of customer engagement
  • Responsibility of the customer retention strategy and implementation including customer automated comms, website notifications, loyalty program delivery, etc.
  • Ensuring appropriate budget allocations to support each campaign in-line with the agreed strategy, objectives and total spend
  • Ensuring all website activity is captured and improved, supporting optimisations of media channels, and analysing data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns and making data-driven decisions to optimise performance
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations in digital marketing and data privacy related to subscribers and customer data 

To be a Front Running Candidate

  • Minimum of 9 years experience in a senior digital media/marketing role, leading cross functional teams across digital marketing
  • Demonstrated e-commerce expertise resulting in increased conversion rate and ultimate sales
  • Digital customer journey strategic experience and large digital media budget management
  • Experience providing strategic direction for teams running Paid Social, Paid Search, Digital Video, Email marketing
  • Proven experience in improving Return on ad spend (ROAS) across paid digital media channels
  • Customer data management experience, primarily related to email subscriber management
  • Experience managing Martech platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Smartly, Qualtrics, Google Analytics Note: Experience with platforms similar to these acceptable
  • CRO experience and testing frameworks
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Qantas background check
